Abstracts & Reviewers

Turning it on

Event Settings → Miscellaneous → Enable Abstract Management (switch). This adds Abstracts, Reviewers, and Abstract Settings to the event sidebar and turns on the public submission page. Off by default per event.

Abstract Settings

Event sidebar → Abstract Settings — five tabs:

TabConfigures
TracksAdd Track — Name, Group, Description
Types & FormatsAdd Submission Type / Add Presentation Format — Name
Review QuestionsQuestion, Description, Answer type, scale labels (if scored), Required switch
Document TypesName, Type (Plain text / Uploaded document / PDF / Image / Link / Video URL), size limit, Supporting document switch, Required switch
SettingsSubmission banner image, Title word limit, Author bio word limit, Submissions open/close dates, Terms & copyright text, Consent text — Save Settings

No topic-category or word-limit field exists for the abstract body itself. Presenting-author email is required directly on the submission form, not a setting here.

Reviewing abstracts

Event sidebar → Abstracts — table: Paper #, Title, Track, Type, Status (Draft / Submitted / Under Review / Revision Requested / Accepted / Rejected / Withdrawn). Filter Abstracts by status/track. Exportabstracts.xlsx.

Click a row to open the drawer, then:

ActionWhat happens
Accept / RejectSet accepted format/track + comment → Confirm Acceptance/Rejection
Request RevisionInstructions (required) + due date → Send Revision Request
ReopenOnly on Accepted/Rejected/Withdrawn — reason (required) → Reopen

One abstract at a time — no bulk actions. Drawer tabs: Details, Documents, Reviews, Decision & Audit (full timeline).

Reviewers

Event sidebar → ReviewersInvite Reviewer (First name, Last name, Email, Institution, Specialty) → Send Invite. Sends a magic-link login — no password.

Assign a reviewer to a specific abstract: open the abstract → Details tab → Reviewer Assignments → pick from Assign a reviewerAssign. Remove to unassign.

If a reviewer says their link doesn't work: there's no password to reset — check if the link expired or was already used, then Resend Link.
